What I Offer
I specialize in beginner coaching — because getting started is the hardest part, and everyone deserves to learn in a safe, patient, affirming space. All sessions are 1-on-1, tailored entirely to you.
Private sessions focused on the fundamentals that matter most: balance, braking, body position, and building trail confidence. No group pressure, no keeping up — just you, me, and the trail at your pace.

Hi, I'm SJ Chapman — a Level 1 certified mountain bike coach based in the Hudson Valley. I'm passionate about making mountain biking accessible and joyful for WTFMTB riders: women, trans, and femme folks.
I specialize in beginner coaching because I know how intimidating it can be to start. My sessions are patient, personalized, and 100% judgment-free. I want you to leave every session feeling more capable and more excited to ride.
All coaching is 1-on-1, so you get my full attention and a plan built around your specific goals — whether that's surviving your first singletrack or finally feeling comfortable on descents.
